Welcome to the Almost Home Bed & Breakfast. Nestled just outside the heart of Stratford, Almost Home Bed and Breakfast invites you to retreat into the tranquility that encompasses our 1-acre, historical property. Almost Home Bed and Breakfast offers privacy, good food and great hospitality, and is perfect for romantic escapes, business stays or a weekend away with friends.

Our property is situated only 5 minutes from the City of Stratford and only 45 minutes from either Kitchener or London. There is no shortage of great restaurants, shopping, antiques and sight-seeing to be experienced during your stay with us.

ROOMS & AMENITIES

We are pleased to offer you King size, Queen Size or Twin size beds with line dried linens, plenty of pillows, duvets and throws. "Oodles" of thick cotton bath towels changed daily. Your en-suite private bathroom has a full sized shower complete with bath toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion, and a hair dryer (by request). Seasonal fresh cut flowers, luxurious robes, hot water bottles to take off the chill of traveling. Full breakfast or continental is included in the room price. Early Bird coffee/tea is available prior to breakfast time & complimentary tea, coffee and treats served on arrival until 5pm.

Built in 1930, our home was once a prosperous farm and was converted into a single dwelling home. Since we took ownership we have added on to the original property which is now our Bed and Breakfast accommodation. Our addition has been built by loving hands with the utmost care and expertise and we hope this addition makes your stay a memorable and comfortable one.

Once inside, the open and freely planned interior is evident. The sitting area features beautiful wood flooring and lots of natural light from windows and the patio door, leading out to the patio where breakfast could be served. Enjoy complimentary coffee/tea and treats between 3 and 5 before heading out for the evening.

Each bedroom has a private en-suite bathroom, with King, Queen or Twin beds. All rooms have crisp cotton sheets, duvets, plenty of thirsty cotton towels, a selection of toiletries, hairdryer, and hot water bottles (on request). All rooms have a television and air conditioning.

Outside, the gardens are thoughtfully landscaped to create a quiet oasis with flower and natural gardens. A full breakfast with a range of hot and cold choices or continental breakfast are included in the room rate. BREAKFAST

RATES

The Queen Room
The Queen Room is a good size and features a Queen bed with luxurious bedding changed daily. This peaceful room features a large window overlooking our gardens. The room invites the weary traveler to rest a while.

High Season - May 1 to September 30
Low Season - October 1 to April 30.




The King Room
The King Room has a very comfortable King bed which can be easily converted to Twin beds. This room offers a little more space than the Queen Room and features two windows overlooking our passionately landscaped gardens. The en-suite private bathroom has a full sized shower.

High Season (CDN) $125.00 per night
Low Season (CDN) $95.00 per night

High Season - May 1 to September 30
Low Season - October 1 to April 30.

POLICIES

Deposit
A deposit of 50% is required when making your reservation. This is applied to the last night of your stay. Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted. Credit card deposits, usually the most convenient, are processed at time of reservation and considered firm.

Confirmation
Confirmation of your reservation will be sent to you upon receipt of deposit. Please check your dates and room reservation carefully as your deposit will be forfeited if you arrive at different dates to those specified and your room may not be available.

Cancellations
A 14-day notice of change of reservation dates or cancellations is required for a full refund. 3-13 days notice - 25% ( ie deposit retained). Less than 3 days notice -payment in full is required unless the room is re-rented.

***Please note there is a minimum two night stay requirement for reservations during the high season.

Our rooms offer that special “sparkle” for our guests. Our bedrooms will be uniquely decorated with wood flooring and offer cable TV right in your room, and the bonus of a brand new private bathroom.

We are smoke-free. All rooms are on the ground floor and offer beautiful garden views. Bedroom 1 is a Queen size room and Bedroom 2 is a King size room which can be easily be converted to Twin beds.
